Why is it important?

The values, attitudes and priorities of customers are changing. An IPSOS Global Trends study found that 61% of consumers now say that they tend to buy brands that reflect their personal values. Too often, businesses tend to regard this as an issue that can be addressed with marketing rather than tangible change. However, social media now allows your customers to fact check your claims, see behind the curtain, and know the reality.

Younger GenZ and millennial consumers tend to be more skeptical of branded content, which is shared less often and reaches smaller audiences. Conversely, posts by individuals are regarded as more trustworthy and have greater reach. As a result, your people are your best ambassadors and businesses that can leverage the power of their people will be best placed to build an authentic and successful brand.
