AI promises to unlock the biggest productivity gains for businesses in decades. But while AI can crunch numbers, make predictions, and even create content, humans will ultimately make the calls about how and when it is deployed. This course explores how individuals and teams can leverage AI to enhance their productivity.
I’m German Ramirez – a digital pioneer with a passion for authentic branding and digital strategies, along with razor-sharp marketing insights.
There is a lot of hype and concern about the exponential growth of AI and how it will impact our economies. AI will have different implications for different industries, but those who proper will be those who use it to complement their existing knowledge and skills and boost their productivity.
Many companies are now at an exploratory stage of learning where the best opportunities to deploy AI lie — this requires a digital mindset, flexibility and experimentation throughout an organization. The human factor in digital transformation is often hugely underestimated. This is captured by the 10-20-70 rule of AI implementation: 10% effort will be directed at building algorithms/models, 20% of the effort will be on building AI systems, but 70% of the effort needs to be focussed on people and transforming business processes.
Through our collaboration you will:
Up until recently, the route to success in Western economies was relatively clear. Deindustrialization saw a reduction in skilled jobs in the manufacturing sector and a large increase in the percentage of the workforce employed in the knowledge economy. In order to succeed in this environment, education, qualifications, and experience were the key metrics.
Unlike previous waves of automation, however, AI is flipping the script. As it is focussed on cognitive-oriented tasks, AI will have a greater impact on jobs in the knowledge economy, affecting workers of all income levels including higher-wage earners. A recent IMF study found that 60% of jobs in advanced economies will be affected by AI. It’s not all bad news, however. The same study found that employees in sectors that are “complementary” to AI have the opportunity to boost their productivity and increase their incomes.
Adapting to the AI era will be crucial for individuals so that they can secure their future and increase their earning potential. And for businesses, it’s the key to remaining competitive.
I’m proud of what I achieve and I’m not shy to tell you about it. But you might prefer to hear it directly from my past clients.
